The pre-start walk that catches the common defects — hydraulic leaks, tyres, basket condition, controls, emergency descent valve, decals, identification plate. Plant in Workplace COP 2022 grounded.
The harness goes ON. The anchor goes inside the basket — never to the structure outside it. AS/NZS 1891 retirement criteria. AS 2550.10 EWP anchor point requirements.
Ground bearing pressure, slope, soft fill, services. Wind speed cut-off per manufacturer's manual (typically 12.5 m/s). Storms, lightning, visibility. The conditions that send the machine back down.
